St. Patrick's Day serenade

We are here. Once again we find ourselves busily preparing for the morning. The morning means getting up early, leaving the hotel by 4:45 a.m. to get cars positioned (one at the trail head where we'll emerge and one at the station to catch the shuttle) and taking the first shuttle of the morning to our destination (only way to get there). The shuttle will drop the four of us off at the South Kaibab Trail.
That's when the adventure begins. Down the South Kaibab, dip a toe in the Colorado River, enjoy a cold lemonade at the Phantom Ranch canteen and then 'will' ourselves to scale back up the Canyon on Bright Angel Trail, reaching the rim by sunset.
No small feat. Lots of encouragement though. Things to this point have gone very well.
