Branson

Friends and family have talked about going to Branson for years. Papa and I were curious so we drove through the “main drag” today. The street is lined with water parks, amusement rides, shops, shows and many forms of entertainment, all geared to families. If we had young children, this would be a vacation spot.

Papa and I went off the main drag a couple miles and golfed instead. We had a later tee time booked but we were up and had toured as much as we wanted, so we showed up an hour and a half early. That was perfect! They had a break and we were able to start right away.

The Pointe Golf Club-Branson Is a beautiful 18-hole course. Lots of water. Thick, long rough and hills where your ball can roll off the fairway and down an embankment into oblivion. Papa and I golfed about 15 holes before the heat and humidity were too much.

We are so thankful that weather and timing have worked beautifully so far. There is more golf in the days ahead and people-meeting too!
