Back Again

We're not hiking R2R this time, but we are hiking to the river and back. The plan: hike down the steeper South Kaibab Trail to Phantom Ranch, then take the River Trail/Bright Angel Trail back out.  One day.

Challenge: we're not in shape. To top it off, the last couple weeks I've been fighting a nasty cold which has hampered training.

Determination will be our biggest asset. We have a plan (below) and we will do it.

A few details about the hike. The day we hike is a full moon. The good news about this is we can start out early. Sunrise is about 6:30am and sunset is 6:30 pm...a nice 12 hour day.
