Papa and I didn’t spend much time walking the streets of Bisbee. We did see enough to agree that it’s a cute old west town. The buildings in the historic area near the visitors center and Queen Mine are stately and grand. It is a future travel hope to return and stay at the grand hotel (upper left pic) and visit the library (lower right pic).

After the hour-long mine tour, we stopped by the Lavender Pit on the way to lunch at the Bisbee Breakfast Club. It is a fantastic cafe with delicious, fresh food and friendly staff. It is also located on an old Route 66 themed (Erie) street complete with an old gas station and cars, buses, police cruisers and more vehicles lining the street.

Ah, an Route 66 “appetizer” for our travel days ahead.
