Healing Ocean

One of the blessings we enjoy is visiting family in California a couple times a year. Those visits are priceless and we cherish the stories and time together. Bonus, those trips include a visit to the ocean. A walk along the beach, a stroll on a long pier over the ocean, watching surfers catch a wave are all healing and restorative.

A couple years ago Papa and I stumbled upon this Oceanside marina. It is still a favorite spot. We saw and heard the sea lions here and in LaJolla. We watched the paddle boarders and a kayaker in the smooth water of the bay. It made us anxious to get our kayak out!

We stayed on Coronado Island, my favorite area of San Diego and here at Balboa, favorite area of Newport Beach. A few hours walking the Balboa beach, pier and around the neighborhood was purely medicinal. There were several surfers having a class in the waves. The waves were not large but the surfers made some headway.

How blessed we are to have the freedom to travel and enjoy so many wonderful experiences.
