Golf Stop #3

It’s only 9 holes. They’re all par 3. Seriously how hard can that be?

Tree Tops in Gaylord, Michigan is an impressive golf complex with several top courses and one little par 3 course.  It is called ThreeTops and it just so happens to be THE #1 rated par 3 course in the country.

Hills galore. Thick vegetation. Two holes have elevated greens, the other seven have drop greens, like 145 feet down below drop! Lee Trevino made a hole-in-one on #7 during a tournament over 20 years ago. He won a million for that ace. I made par on that hole and felt like a million. Only par I made on the entire course. I did loose a couple balls in the rough. Papa only lost one!

Special thanks to Gary and Peggy for joining us and assisting in ball spotting. Very helpful and so much fun.

Video below: Papa’s tee shot on #7. Yes, the green is far down below so we needed to walk to the edge of the drop-off to see where the ball landed.

If you have a chance to play this course, do!  Thank you Mike and Mary for the suggestion. Loved it!
